About Us

Scientific Societies was founded in 1967 through a partnership of The American Association of Cereal Chemists (AACC International) and The American Phytopathological Society (APS). By leveraging experienced personnel and business processes across associations, these societies of cereal chemists and plant pathologists could focus on advancing the scientific credibility, thought leadership and peer collaboration of their respective fields.

Today, Scientific Societies has expanded to include the full-service management and administration services of five additional organizations: the American Society of Brewing Chemists, International Society for Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, International Society of Differentiation, Master Brewers Association of the Americas and the Society of Sensory Professionals. We also represent the International Society for Plant Pathology and the United States Culture Collection Network in select capacities.

In addition to performing as association headquarters, managing day-to-day operations and creating the public face of each organization, Scientific Societies innovates resources and tools that drive the scientific community forward. We manage the creation, editing and publishing partnerships of our associations’ leading scientific, technical and academic books and journals. We also develop and maintain analytical resources, technical databases and scientific initiatives that scientists, laboratories and corporations around the world rely on to ensure the accuracy and quality of their work – helping our scientists make the world better by providing accessible, sustainable and safe sources of food and beverages.

Scientific Societies is headquartered in the United States in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
